These fun and interactive workshops give participants the chance to work on songs with a pianist, including tempos, phrasing, styles and techniques. The workshops are designed to hone your craft and strengthen your skills in areas such as, treatrical presentation using drama to create your own sound, stage presence, communicating with accompanist/band and the audience, taking vocal risks, and sharpening your techniques to develop a roadmap to success! The intention is to bring your abilities and understanding of the performance process to a higher level of professionalism.

This clinic will also focus on: The Next Step - practical information such as tools of your trade, developing a mailing list, demos, photos, and CD's. Getting serious! -- Vocal techniques and lyric interpretation - vocal exercises, chart reading, phrasing and breathing techniques. Students will be encouraged to participate in Open Mic nights and jam sessions to gain confidence and further performance experience.
